Common Interest Workgroup
Engaging Employees in Projects
Hosted by
SIRF Roundtables in Queensland currently comprises in excess of 40 progressive organisations that are willing to network and share their best practices in a peer to peer learning environment, specialising in Operational Excellence and Industrial Maintenance.

‘Common Interest Work Group’ (CIWG) events are for technical specialists looking to discuss with peers, specific topics they are working on, in and around their field of excellence.
Many organisations suffer the same fate, senior leadership come up with a great initiative, but there is no buy-in at other levels of the organisation.

The success of any implementation is sustainability and to achieve that you require engagement from your employees, so why is it we are great at coming up with great ideas, we may even have a successful project management model, but still cannot seem to bring the troops along for the ride.

In this workgroup, we will look at:
- What are the real benefits of engagement in a project?
- What are the critical factors for engagement?
- Is there a model we can use?
- Who if anyone does it well?
