SIRF Roundtables presents
Industrial Maintenance Roundtable
Common Interest Workgroup
PM Optimisation
Host to be advised
SIRF Roundtables in Queensland currently comprises in excess of 40 progressive organisations that are willing to network and share their best practices in a peer to peer learning environment, specialising in Operational Excellence and Industrial Maintenance.

The ‘Common Interest Work Group’ (CIWG) events are for operators/technical specialists looking to discuss with peers, specific topics they are working on, in and around their field of excellence.
At most companies, PM's start from recommendations from the OEM; recommendations that may involve over-servicing to some level. These PM's  are often modified by successive maintenance personnel in response to cost cutting pressures, safety concerns or breakdowns. Often the trade workers doing the PM work know that some PM's add little or no value - sometimes the work is still carried out, sometimes it becomes "tick and flick". And all at the expense of doing really valuable work.

Significant gains can be made in freeing up labour for more value-added work by creating a proper review system for screening and improving PM's.

Join your peers and share your experience and practices with others facing the same opportunities and challenges with optimising their PM's. Topics for discussion might include:
- Improving PM Optimisation
- Sources for PM tasks
- How to determine if a task adds value
- The impact of Condition Monitoring on PM's and their frequency
- Tools for statistically measuring PM effectiveness and necessity
- The importance of results reporting from PM's for continued optimisation
- Who is (or should be) responsible for the continuous improvement of the PM's?
