IMRt CIWG - Planning and Scheduling

SIRF Roundtables presents
Industrial Maintenance Roundtable
Common Interest Workgroup
Planning and Scheduling
Proudly hosted by Mars
SIRF Roundtables in New South Wales currently comprises in excess of 40 progressive organisations that are willing to network and share their best practices in a peer to peer learning environment, specialising in Operational Excellence and Industrial Maintenance.

The ‘Common Interest Work Group’ (CIWG) events are for operators/technical specialists looking to discuss with peers, specific topics they are working on, in and around their field of excellence.

Effective planning and scheduling is the core of a well-functioning maintenance team. Its success often relies on good integration with key systems outside of the maintenance department; such as operations, purchasing, stores, IT and accounting. Planning determines the what, how, time, equipment and resource requirements for a work order. Scheduling determines when and who completes the task. Doing these effectively can significantly increase resource efficiency, plant reliability and reduce maintenance and production costs by reducing future breakdowns.
