Industrial Maintenance Roundtable - Maintenance Successes, Improvements and Best Practices

SIRF Industrial Maintenance Roundtable
Maintenance Improvements, Successes and Best Practice Sharing - 21st September 2017

RoundtableSharing is fundamental to improvement !
“You must learn from the mistakes of others. You can’t possibly live long enough to make them all yourself.”  .....Sam Levensen

Not only can you learn a lot from the mistakes of others, you can learn even more from what others do really well.

In maintenance we are often not very good at sharing our improvements and successes and all companies have at least one area where they do something better than others.

This roundtable (mini conference) is a chance to share and hear about maintenance improvements, successes and best practices giving you the opportunity to learn from others. The subjects cover a wide range of topics with excellent presentations and includes also a Roundtable discussion making this Roundtable meeting one definitely not to miss !

Presenters :

Bell Bay Aluminium Stuart Carlile, Maintenance Superintendent at Bell Bay Aluminium (BBA) presenting on a reliability improvement project including fault finding, defect elimination and PM optimisation. It was done in a rapid roll out over 4 weeks and returned an increase in reliability and production throughput
Melbourne Water Scott McMillan is a Safe Assets Specialist at Melbourne Water presenting on the use of Virtual Reality at the early plant concept and design stage to better engage maintenance staff and to assess and remove risk before installation. Scott will also present on Fleet Safety Technologies that Melbourne Water is embedding in all new fleet purchases of crew vehicles. This includes working with the Monash University Accident Research Centre and ANCAP
One Steel Mike Hoiles is Onesteel's SAP PM Key User and will talk about  the elements required for their successful transition across to the SAP Computerised Maintenance Management  System (CMMS)  and how they are getting the most out of it. Whether using SAP or any other CMMS, whether transitioning across CMMS or wanting to get the best out of the CMMS - this is a presentation not to be missed !
