Coaching for Development and Mentoring Masterclass

Coaching for Development and Mentoring Masterclass

Masterclass - Coaching for Development and Mentoring

Coaching and MentoringNo matter the size of organisation or the type of work being done, developing staff to their fullest potential is an attainable goal.  Engaging leaders and future leaders in a structured coaching and mentoring program provides many benefits to the company (succession planning, performance improvement, staff retention, etc) and to the individuals involved (career progression, developing expert knowledge, job satisfaction).

During this masterclass we will talk about coaching for performance (instructing 'how to'), coaching for development (exploring 'why' and decision making), and mentoring (advice from  outside the system).

We will also explore the T-PROMPT model for coaching for development - a simple tool to help new coaches get into good coaching habits. We may also discuss such points as:
Coaching for Development
  • How do you make coaching and mentoring a part of your management practices?
  • How do you delegate for staff development?
  • What makes someone a good coach?  A good mentor?
  • How do you know if your coaching / mentoring program is working?
  • How do you evaluate a coach? How do you coach a coach?
  • Benefits of  coaching and mentoring programs to businesses.
