Asahi logo Standard Work and Standard  Operating Practices (SOP's) are a cornerstone of LEAN manufacturing. They are the foundations for successful Continuous Improvement.

Best practice SOPs will have been developed engaging and actually involving closely those who do the task and will define an easily commuicable documentation the current best known safe way to do it  so that it meets customer needs. The critical elements of the SOP and the reasons that these elements are critical will be highlighted.
