Managing Equipment Life Cycle, Repair or Replace - Proudly hosted by Nyrstar Hobart, Tasmania

NyrstarEquipment's life cycle begins at the design stage and the overall capital cost can end up being small part of overall life cycle costs. Critical design choices can end up determining the costs over the life cycle as with decisions made over managing an Asset from "Cradle to the Grave". There comes a point as well with Assets when it needs to be determined whether it is better to be repairing it or replacing it.

What are some of these critical decisions to make at the design stage ? What are methodologies for determining Life cycle costs ? How are companies managing assets life cycle ? What are the factors in determining whether to repair or replace an asset ?

Nyrstar have put some effort into managing assets over their life cycle. Having made decisions over repairing or replacing they are keen to share their work as with learn from what others are doing.

Come learn from Nyrstar on what they are doing in managing assets over their life cycle and how they decide on whether to repair or replace an asset. Come share your methodology and practices with others facing the same opportunities and challenges with managing assets life cycle. Come along to this event and discuss topics like:
life cycle
  • Design stage decisions impacting on life cycle
  • Repair vs Replace
  • Strategies in managing asset life cycles
  • Monitoring plant over life cycle
  • Life cycle costing
