for Driving Maintenance Strategies
you measure your maintenance performance will have a big impact on
that performance. I've seen companies with unplanned downtime
through the roof because they only measured one thing about their
maintenance program - performance to a shrinking budget. But there
are many companies that have the metrics in place to show that a few
thousand more dollars in spare parts can equate to a few hundred
thousand more dollars of production!
Good management practices suggest that we need a balance of key
performance indicators to keep from going off the tracks. Good ol'
common sense tells us that there will be only a few metrics that
will really matter to our business, and that those might be
different from what other businesses need to measure.
What is your system for measuring your maintenance practices? Does
it drive the right strategies being used? The right behaviors?
Curious as to how other businesses handle this? Come hear what
others have been doing, share where you are at, and talk about ways
to improve in this important area. At this event we will discuss
Cost from Equipment Cost
of Emergency Repairs
maintenance time %
vs Corrective costs
