IMRt CIWG - RCA in Maintenance

SIRF Roundtables presents
Industrial Maintenance Roundtable
Common Interest Workgroup
RCA in Maintenance
Hosted by Global Renewables

SIRF Roundtables in New South Wales currently comprises in excess of 50 progressive organisations that are willing to network and share their best practices in a peer to peer learning environment, specialising in Operational Excellence, Supply Chain and Industrial Maintenance.

‘Common Interest Work Group’ (CIWG) events are for technical specialists looking to discuss with peers, specific topics they are working on, in and around their field of excellence.
Root Cause Analysis (RCA) is a method of problem solving used for identifying the root causes of faults or problems.  A factor is considered a root cause if removal from the problem-fault-sequence prevents the final undesirable event from reoccurring; whereas a causal factor is on that affects an event's outcome but is not a root cause.  Through removing a causal factor can benefit an outcome, it does not prevent its recurrence with certainty.

In this workshop we will be looking at:

  • How are we applying RCA principles?
  • What levels are we conducting full investigations?
  • What benefits are organising finding?
  • Are there any barriers to successful implementation?

This event is ideal for:

Professionals from Maintenance, Safety, Asset, Operations or anyone running RCA in their business and looking to make improvements.
