The SIRF Resource Efficiency Program 2010 is a practical and hands-on workshop series designed to support integrating Resource Efficiency into your business management and supply chain. It is particularily focused on integrating Resource Efficiency into the culture of the participating organisations.
Big ticket engineering innitiatives and plant renewal do lead to increased efficiency and these gains can be compounded by the non-engineering improvements.
Improvements like:
- improving the way equipment and buildings are operated and maintained so that excessive resources are not consumed
- building awareness that all defective products and rework don't just waste materials they also waste the energy and water required to produce them
- gaining greater understanding of what customers want and what parts of what you deliver to them is waste
The program is co-facilitated by Judith Alcorn and Geoff Green.
