View Text from Presentation Media:Operating_For_Reliability_HVO_Neil_Ingham.pdf
Neil Ingham is the Coal Prep Plant Operations Superintendent at Hunter Valley Operations, a part of Rio Tinto Coal Australia. Neil’s Prep Plant has successfully implemented a program of Operating for Reliability, where key operating drivers for equipment and process reliability are identified and managed through training, information and engagement. This presentation follows the much-acclaimed presentation last year on HVO’s Operating for Reliability success with their mobile fleet. This is a true implementation of Ron Moore's Reliability Leadership principles having strong top management support.
BOC's Global MAXIMO CMMS – Successes and Challenges!
View Presentation Media:BOC_Global_CMMS_Atul_Patel.pdf
Atul Patel is BOC’s Australian Asset Performance Manager and he talked about how BOC uses its CMMS system to help manage the maintenance of its assets spread across Australia and internationally. The equipment and processes operated by BOC are sophisticated & specialised and required high quality strategies, information, planning and execution to achieve success, often made harder by remote locations. BOC has been able to achieve standardisation of equipment and parts numbering internationally and has standardised PM's globally. This has been a huge task but the benefits of this hard work, which started in 2003, are now paying off. This work on their CMMS systems have laid a strong foundation for higher reliability and performance into the future.
Informal Presentations
This meeting had shorter more informal presentations with small group discussion. This approach is used very successfully by the Knowledge Management Roundtable and worked very well in our March Roundtable meeting. The process takes about 20 to 25 minutes with a number of presentation/discussion tables going on at the same time. At the end of the 25 minutes, everyone picks another presentation to join. Great for interaction, learning and sharing ideas.
Workflow Management Success - PWCS Carrington
Peter Morrison is a Specialist Adviser Maintenance Systems at Port Waratah Coal Services and talked about the reliability improvement their Carrington site has achieved over the last 6 years, largely through disciplined implementation of a Maintenance Workflow Management Process.
